Indoor Fitness is now OPEN!
Indoor Fitness is open as of July 7th for Annual & Monthly Members and Personal Training Clients.
It's been really great to have members back in the building, and overall things have gone quite smoothly. However it will take a while for all of us to settle into the "new normal".
The Mass. Phase 3 guidelines for Fitness Centers mandate a number of new policies to help keep everyone safe. We've taken this seriously since well before we shut down back in March, and we fully expect that everyone who enters our building will do the same.

The new restrictions on spacing and capacities effectively limit our occupancy to ~30%. This places significant strains on our business in a number of ways.
So, like many fitness businesses around the country, we've also instituted new policies - including some related to bookings and cancellations - to protect the interests of all our members and our interests as a business. We'll remind you along the way, but please read them!

As we continue to "read and react", we're also making tweaks to our schedule and offerings.
Indoor Class Changes Starting the week of 7/27:
- SPIN IS BACK! and will be held in the GroupEx room where we can fit 8 riders plus the instructor.
- ANDREA is BACK! and will be teaching Yoga Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7:30AM.
- The 9AM Outdoor Fitness class will no longer be offered. (Sorry! But we'll still be offering EIGHT Outdoor Classes every week!)

We're also going to be saying a temporary goodbye to our friend and colleague John O'Brien, who will be taking some time off before his deployment with the Air Force Reserves. John has been a tremendous asset and we're extremely grateful to him for his service to Chatham Works, and - far more importantly - for his service to our country.

NOTE: For the time being we are not selling Day/Class/Week Passes for Indoor Fitness to make sure we can meet the needs of our existing members. However we are offering a number of choices for Outdoor Classes which have gotten excellent reviews from participants.

FINALLY ...
In our continued commitment to making our facility as safe as possible for our customers and staff, this Monday we'll be installing an airPHX air and surface decontamination appliance.
The airPHX uses proprietary non-thermal plasma technology coupled with trace amounts of hydrogen peroxide to eliminate odors, bacteria, viruses and other harmful organisms throughout a facility — in the AIR and on SURFACES including: equipment, turf, rubber, foam, and tile. Bacteria, MRSA, C.diff, mold, Staph, athlete’s foot fungus, and noroviruses are all virtually eliminated with the flip of a switch.
airPHX has also been proven to be effective on coronaviruses!
One unit will treat up to 150,000 cubic feet, achieving hospital grade levels of cleanliness. When the clean air circulates thru our HVAC system, a single airPHX will be able to treat our entire building! And running the system overnight will give our entire facility a "deep clean" each and every night.
(We're NOT messing around!)
We certainly don't view this as a failsafe "silver bullet" in the effort to keep COVID out of our building. But it's definitely going to be a huge asset. Because we love you. ;) (And we HATE COVID.)
