Get a great workout for a great cause, at Chatham Works' 6th Annual "Tabata, Tatas & Treats" fitness class fundraiser benefitting Cape Wellness Collaborative!
Join Chatham Works' Trainers Amy Drew and Jason Cartwright, and co-owner Lindsay Bierwirth (a breast cancer survivor and stomach cancer survivor), for this terrific event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. (Don't forget to wear pink!)
★ CLASS FORMAT: This year we'll be using a hybrid 60 minute class format that includes 25 minutes of strength training (on the indoor Turf with Jason) + 25 minutes of cardio (in our downstairs GroupEx room wth Amy). Participants will be split into two groups. After the first 25 minutes, each group will move to the 2nd segment. Lastly, each group will conclude the workout with 10 minutes of mobility and recovery work.
★ COST & SIGNUP: The class costs $27 (or 1 class credit for Chatham Works members, who are encouraged to make a separate donation). Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
★ LOGISTICS, etc: Please arrive no later than 9:20. Click here for our location on Google Maps. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, so we encourage you to review our parking map.
Also, if you're not staying for the 11AM Turf Talk, we kindly ask that you vacate your parking spot for those who wish to attend.
🩷 Thank you to our neighbors at Chatham Perk for donating post-workout "treats" for class participants!

💡 11AM ➔ Free Turf Talk w/ Q&A:
“Exercise IS Medicine: Cancer and Disease Prevention, & Improving Patient Outcomes”
led by Leslie St. Amant, Lead Trainer - Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Exercise Oncology

A fellow CWC service provider, Leslie has extensive experience and qualifications in both "conventional" and medical fitness. In addition to numerous more conventional fitness certifications, she is also an American College of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer, and holds an ACSM / American Cancer Society Cancer Exercise Specialist certification.
Her dual roles at Dana Farber Cancer Institute as a Lead Trainer in both the Exercise Oncology Research Lab and with their client-facing Exercise Oncology Intervention team means she is at the intersection of both clinical research and hands on work with cancer patients. This makes her uniquely qualified to provide practical, medically informed perspectives about how we can use the power of exercise to help prevent cancer and other diseases, and improve patient outcomes.
Members of the community facing cancer (or other serious diseases) and their caregivers, loved ones, and friends are particularly encouraged to attend.
No registration required. Space is limited - please arrive early!
