Amy Latham MS, DPT, E-RYT
Functional Physical Therapist, Yoga Instructor
Amy earned both her Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital with residencies at Harvard University and Children's Hospital Boston.
Amy then spent over a decade at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital honing her skills as a manual therapist and diagnostician. Her emphasis on rehabilitation and injury prevention in recreational athletes allowed her to work with the Boston Marathon organization. This opportunity in turn created a love for and expertise of the foot and ankle complex and how it effects the entire body up the kinematic chain. This focus resulted in Amy's ability to analyze improper body mechanics and faulty gait patterns and to fabricate custom made orthotics. Amy achieved her Advanced Clinician status in 2005 and earned a Partners in Excellence Award in 2008.
Eastern healing also piqued Amy’s interest, and in 2004 she obtained her Reiki Certification. She then expanded her repertoire by earning her Power Pilates Mat I Certification, and her 200 hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) Certification. She is a certified, experienced, registered yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance, and is a favorite Yoga teacher here at Chatham Works.
Amy's passion, beyond her family, is helping people to obtain their physical goals and to teach the principals of intention, compassion and consciousness resulting in the best quality of life.
