• ★  People who perform strength training regularly and are ready to take it up a step — in terms of load, structure, and intensity.

★  Athletes (or athletic types) who want to train in the gym so they can get better in their sport(s).

★  Cardio-centric exercisers looking to gain muscle mass and optimize their approach to fitness.

★  Current or former GLP-1 patients (semaglutide, tirzepatide) looking to preserve or rebuild lean muscle mass alongside or following medication.

★  Anyone focused on building or protecting bone density and joint and tendon health.

★  Healthy adults without significant movement limitations who are looking to build strength and muscle mass, lose fat, and/or improve their conditioning and athleticism.

Please note that this program is not recommended for people with significant movement limitations or those new to structured exercise — but we're happy to help find a better starting point.

  • vs. Group Classes
SGT is a program, not a class. Group classes are designed to be drop-in friendly — a genuine strength of that format. SGT is a fixed cohort over a fixed number of sessions, with programming that builds deliberately week over week. The trainer-to-participant ratio also changes what's possible: with six people, the Trainer can observe, correct, and adjust for each individual in real time — and track your progress across the full program arc.

    vs. Personal Training
SGT delivers professional coaching at a fraction of the per-session cost of one-on-one PT — making the investment in sustained, coached training much easier to handle.  The group setting creates accountability and energy that's hard to replicate one-on-one.   It also facilitates learning: you benefit from watching others get coached, hearing cues reinforced across the group, and training alongside people who notice when you're not there.

vs. Open Gym / Training on Your Own
A gym membership gives you access to our equipment.  SGT gives you a certified trainer, a progressive program, expert instruction on how to get the most out of our equipment, and a guaranteed reason to show up. Most people who train solo plateau — not because they're not working hard, but because they're not sure what to do next. SGT progresses week over week: load, complexity, and intensity build deliberately, so results accumulate rather than stall. You'll also learn to use equipment confidently — and carry that knowledge with you long after the program ends.

  • Cardio protects your heart. Strength training protects everything else — muscle mass, bone density, joint integrity, balance, and metabolic health. Without structured resistance training, adults lose muscle mass progressively after 30, and muscle loss and bone loss reinforce each other in ways that cardio alone can't address. SGT doesn't replace what you're already doing. It greatly enhances it, making it more sustainable, more effective, and better for your long-term health.

Also, cardio isn't conditioning.  There are important health benefits you can only get from higher intensity conditioning work that steady-state cardio simply can't provide.
